Dublin indie band with former Rollerskate Skinny guitarist; released the acclaimed album 'Kindness' in 2004

About The Radio

From their web site: The Radio are guitarist Stephen M, formerly of one of IrelandĘs much loved indie bands Rollerskate Skinny with guitarist/producer liam mulvaney featuring vocalist Caroline Lee Baker. The live band includes Florida Dave on bass, Hugh Byrne on drums and Sarah Jane(The president) Farrell on Keys.

The Radio released their debut album 'Kindness' on Reekus Records in August 2004 to huge critical acclaim. Since 2004 the band have appeared at various festivals around the world including CMJ (New York) Midem (France) eurosonic (Holland) and In The City (UK). Following sucessful shows in both London and Dublin the band have been featured on BBC radio 1 shows hosted by the musical maverick 'Alan McGee' (Creation/Poptones). With the single 'Whatever gets You through Today' taken from their album finding its way on to the radio air waves in both Ireland and the UK aswell as the song featuring in hit USA tv series 'Grays anatomy' and new movie 'Imagine me and You' alongside 2 Meteor nominations in both 2005 and 2006 and a new EP due for release in April 2006 and an album to follow in the Autumn the future is looking bright for The Radio.
