Dublin indie band with hint of 80's in their energetic sound, released their debut album in 2006

About Humanzi

Humanzi are four ambitious individuals, armed to the teeth with vicious beats and lashing tongues, on a mission to bring you high octane rock'n'roll with something to say. Their music marries dark thoughts on loneliness, oppressive culture and isolation with such an uplifting musical delivery you wonÆt know whether to throw a brick through the nearest window or turn around and hug the guy next to you.

Humanzi released their debut album æTremorsÆ on Fiction/SFR July 24th 2006. It feature's the well received singles æFix The CracksÆ and æDiet Pills and Magazine's . æTremorsÆ was produced by Chris Vrenna [Nine Inch Nails] and good friend Garreth Mannix. ItÆs a dirty, gritty, honest and confrontational call to arms of 11 euphoric post-punk gems.

Over the last two years Humanzi have opened for the likes of the Foo Fighters, The Strokes, The Pixies, Eagles of Death Metal, New York Dolls and have toured with The Dirty Pretty Things, Peaches and White Rose Movement to name but a few. In 2006, Humanzi headlined the New Band Stage on the Sunday night of the Oxegen festival, made appearances at Reading and Leeds Festivals, The Wireless Festival, CMJ and were invited to play in New York for Fader Magazine and more recently at the Eurosonic Festival in Holland.

TV appearances have included slots on renowned Irish music show æOther VoicesÆ and the institution that is æThe Late Late showÆ as well as T4 and MTV2s Gonzo. Having won a Meteor award in 2006 for æBest New ActÆ Humanzi were again nominated this year for æBest Irish BandÆ.

As of 2007 the band are working on their second album.
