About Lauren Guillery

Lauren Guillery is a French singer and guitarist residing in Dublin, Ireland. In 2007 she was awarded ‘Best International Act’ at the Balcony TV music awards for the acoustic performance of her up-tempo song 'Rude' and released the same year her now sold-out debut E.P ‘Listen!’. She is currently working on her debut album with Irish producer Stephen Shannon. With Sonic Youth and Led Zeppelin listed as two main influences, Guillery's raw and somewhat dark compositions incorporate an odd mix of blues and punk. With a voice instantly arresting with a built-in rock snarl that demands you stop and listen, Lauren Guillery's performances are delivered with such energy that the feisty songwriter has been compared to a 'rock queen' and 'rock goddess' by gig promoters and punters alike. She has toured Ireland and shared the stage with such artists as post-punks Ungdomskulen, French sensation female Les Plastiscines and countless Irish acts including God Is An Astronaut and Cathy Davey. Lauren Guillery is also a founder and committed Ambassador to the Peace Zone organisation for which she hopes to create a great artist following. The purpose of the charity is to take the message of Peace past international waters and bring music performances in areas of conflict abroad in the near future.
