That's some amazing 'hammer-on' style playing there! Yeah 'The Professor' seems to have become even more of a guitar wizard in the post-Mama's Boys days - he's a wicked player, deserves much more recognition.

An album release alert is occuring!! Armoured Bear's long awaited Honeycomb Moons album will finaly be available to buy in shops from Friday 3rd October and also as a download online...award winning artwork and video's by Aoife Greenham make this one an instantly collectable item for the artwork alone..I would expect the music to be winning more than a few awards this year too!
'Folky with a psychodelic and almost 'TirNa Nog' twist with just enough electrification on the strings to put Armoured Bear in a musical class and genre which is exclusively 'their own'.
Even if you hate the folkier site of music you'll have to admit that Honeycomb Moons is a classic that can rank alongside other classics of time such as Neil Youngs 'Harvest' or Van 'the mans'  TB Sheets..or even a few genre inspiring Roy Harper titles.
Something tells me that this album will be worth alot more than it's weight in gold once the word gets out!
      http://www.myspace.com/armouredbear
or the award winning website at http://www.armouredbear.com/
A definate 10 out of 10 for perfectionism on all fronts

Apparently I haven't posted here for ages, so said an email today..... well that's probably because I was talking to myself.  So I've gone and registered my own domain www.madnats.ch but currently under construction and have my own guestbook too so I can talk to myself there instead...  Grin Cheesy Huh Roll Eyes.  The only snag, they don't give you a smileys functionality, so am not very happy.

I'll check those Myspace bands at the week end.  I got a couple of MySpace requests recently for some quite good stuff, but non Irish...

Ahem...this week I have been mostly listening to Miracle Bell. If anyones thinking of proposing to their girlfriends over the next few months 'Hallucinagenic' would make a perfect wedding song (and if your a girl then 'Real' by Amy May would make for a perfect musical response the next time he comes in from the pub dribbling, half cut and incontinent! Tongue
Mirror Bell can be found at    http://www.myspace.com/miraclebell   Cool Cool Cool Cool

Another sound to find a happy home bouncing around like a lunatic off my inner ear drum is Sadhbhulage (special bonus points for any non -Irish english speaker who can pronounce it ...here's a little clue - in Irish a 'bh' is usualy pronounced like a 'v'). Very talented young lady with a fantastic vocal and lyrical style quite similar to the UK's Kate Nash...I dare say that if it wasn't for the epileptic fits that the pronunciation of her name would cause in 80% of the tounges of the worlds DJ's then her songs would have been recieving just as much mass radio airplay over the last couple of years too. Er...um...her website urls may have acted as a slight deterant too. Grin

Just for those who don't yet know... The Kim part of Dae Kim has left the band and gone solo. Katie Kim is releasing a rare vinyl debut album TODAY and is planning on moving to Toronto to record her next one once she's finished her current Irish Tour.  Aparrently she lost a number of her own songs from the last decade due to a computer error.. but some were rescued and are also on her MySpace here
