You only have to listen to a couple of minutes of Johnny Feans early lead solo's in tracks like Horslips 'Furniture' (excerpts of the live versions lead solo are on YouTube)'Charolais' 'Hall of Mirrors' to realise that even as a teenager of 17 and 18 he was one of the worlds best living guitarists..ever.
Well Mr Fean is at it again playing some nicely spliced lead breaks on a new single alongside Miami Showband members Steve Travers, Des Lee and Ray Millar. This time it's all to support Children In Crossfire with a nicely rocked up version of 'Joy To The World'. Single is available as a download from the following link...it's free, but the boys would realy like people to donate something to the Charity to help them make some very real differences to peoples lives...
Two Miami Showband concerts are also taking place in support of Children In Crossfire at Vicar Street Dublin on September 16 and The Grand Opera House Belfast on September 17...both with Johnny on lead.
Maybe my "I'm just nipping out to the shop dear" routine for sneaking off to The Man Who Built America Anniversary party on the 20th might take a little longer and start a little earlier than expected...
