Barry Mcabe arrived today, so that's who's playing right  now.  Listening for the first time...

What are you currently listening to?
Was that a CD that arrived or Barry himself? Huh Cool

Am listening to Simple Kid's Serotonin on his MySpace.  I really like that song (ohh nooo when I was typing the word song, it spellt out "snog", just as well I realised  Shocked).

There is a lot of potential  for yet another purchase here... Is he friendly ? I only buy from friendly artists such as Barry McCabe  Grin Grin

What are you  listening to ?

I'd say he's friendly alright. I didn't have any personal correspondance with him but he acknowledged IrishRockers.com on his website when I did the spotlight feature on him. I recommend his album (and like I mentioned in the myspace message, it's one of the albums available here when you sign up for the free trial)

I haven't turned any music yet today but yesterday I was listening to Amy Winehouse (again), The Breeders - Mountain Battle, Radiohead -In Rainbows, Bon Iver - For Emma Forever Ago and the only Irish album I listened to was Bell-X1's Flock. Now, let me see, what will I put on today?...... probably some more Amy Winehouse ....

Flock is amazing! Once I start listening to that song Rocky Took a Lover, it stays on repeat for ages!
Dave Geraghty is actually doing pretty well on his solo album, Kill Your Darling, its really good. I saw him do an instore in Liffey Valley last september, and he was brilliant.
At the moment I'm listening to a band called Terrible Strangers... they're not irish, they're english, but they are really great... they're also only 15, so they're brilliant.

Rocky Took a Lover was the track that turned me on to them too, I used to have it on the IrishRockers Myspace profile for awhile.

There's a couple of videos to check out on our Dave Geraghty page.

Television Room! I'm listening to them now! They are amazing! I've seen them live twice now, they supported the Hoosiers in Febuary and then they did the Fm104 gig last month. I'll put up a link to their myspace in a second...

I'm not listening to anything right now, well watching TV...but I would just like to report that I have just ordered: Simple Kid.
Have a nice sunny week end everyone... am having a quiet one after my over-indulgence in Ireland last week end.

What's everyone upto ?

Well now Shiv, I discovered a band on MySpace because they asked me to be their "Friend" (god knows why) but they are not Irish but I like their sound.  It's not heavy and I think it could well suit studying.  Have a listen, no commitment...

http://www.myspace.com/aviatorofficial

I had a bad experience going on their site though, but probably it was not linked to them in particular.  Everywhere you would click, it would take you out of Myspace to an antivirus software site.  I am not sure whether this is deliberate from the MySpace responsibles or whether this is people hacking people's pages to insert code to do this...I am a bit curious.  Then the second time I went in, it was back to normal.  Basically I was able to detect straight away that something was wrong on the page because with the mouse I would get the little hand everywhere indicating there is something to open, when I should have had the normal cursor, the cursor when you want to just  highlight text for example.

I am well chuffed that you like it too, and the song you mentioned is indeed my favourite too.  I hadn't bothered till now but now I am going to get their CD, Huxley Pig 2. Not sure if it's out yet, am awaiting a MySpace msg from them.  It was supposed to be out, but could not find it on the Viper site.

@Aidan, since apparently we like the same type of music, I would say you would like them too, have a listen to all their MySpace songs 2-3 times....

Hmmm I have my doubts about his friendliness now, or at least he musn't like my bear when he did not post a couple of MySpace comments.  He must be a bit picky about what he accepts as comments... Huh Huh Huh
