I'm listening to 'Where do we go from here?' by Mellow Drops (currently our spotlighted artist), their guitarist Chewey, sent it to me last week. It's a great album, I highly recommend it.

What are you currently listening to?

I've actualy spent half of last night listening to Rory (were going to do a page on him soon on the 22)  'Million Miles Away' is one of my all time faves - I'm hoping to use the video once I hear back from Rory's uncle.
I spent most of the daylight hours (in between the snowball fights after a blizzard) listening to Alan O'Rourke - another 'Corkonian' who spends part of the year gigging in Brighton  UK. He used to be Howard Jones backing vocalist back in the 80's but hes recently been doing alot of outstanding solo work...he's got a realy unique voice like a cross between David Bowie and BONO . He's just added the track 'Coming Out To Play' to his MySpace profile and once the song gets moving it's 'pretty awesome'...
Whats everyone else up to? Smiley

Grin Delorentos videos are pretty cool - I'll be keeping a close ear on them over the next few months but what about Cathy Davey...!?
I spotted her video on the Irish Rocker home page and have suddenly found myself becoming strangely and instantly addicted - check out her album on MySpace...
an immeasurable talent apparently being compared to Kate Bush( whose family was from Waterford)....She's definately as good as Kate at her best and is just as exceptionaly creative...This girl is going to be  big ... worldwide!

Do you know whats weird, I'm actually listeningto Cathy Davy's album now! She has the most amazing voice I have ever heard! Reuben is just pure class.

Delorentos will be playing in Drogheda on the 4th of May and in Limerick on the 3rd of May if you're interested. They are just brilliant though.

Yeah Cathy Davey is good she has a bit of an edge to her which I like. Speaking of female vocalists has anyone listened to Ise? I've added a track of her's 'Tears of Man' to the jukebox on the site, the version I added was recorded by Shawn of Paddy-whacked radio and it captures her amazing voice even better the the studio recordings.

I really can't stop listening to Michael Brunnock.  I love anything and everything with his name attached to it.  (http://www.myspace.com/michaelbrunnock)

I have been listening to STAND's new CD, Travel Light, and Mark Dignam's Box Heart Man.

All of it excellent stuff.

Mmm, I do love some Gavin Friday.  His voice is goosebump-inducing.

I was fortunate enough to see Michael playing as part of the FairplayCollective in March at Joe's Pub in NYC.  All of them were phenomenal.  Youtube has some video of the show.

The Kinetiks song "Bite the Bullet" is really catchy and it's a song I've been listening to over and over for the last couple of days.
