In a professional way...yes. Think about how many albums Dido has sold on both sides of the pond and then give them a close listen. Even though Dido should seemingly have an instant advantage due to things like better equipped studios, software, pitch correctors(which she uses alot) and some of the best session musicians around - it's actualy Amy's voice that stands out alot more.
As a young songwriter with my head stuck utterly in the clouds I had a tendancy to fall for people ( female ones)very quickly, in very unusual situations (so it could never last) and then spend the next few months in an almost trance like state turning my soul upside down turfing out endless lyrics ...so theres a part of Amy's deep searching and songwriting 'spirit' that I can relate to quite strongly.
If I was twenty years...oops I mean 24 (the wife will decapitate parts of my anatomy if I say twenty especialy seeing as our eldest is 24)years younger I would probably have been one of the very first in a very long que of bikers hoping to run off to Goa with her but alas I'm knackered after consistent overbreeding an a scale that would rival the Peoples Republic of China

Though I expect that by now my wife would probably pay someone to take me off her hands
