Hello,
First, thanks for the mentions we've gotten on the site... we greatly appreciate the feedback, and we've sold CDs to people from all around the world who tell us that they first found us here.

We've been out of country for most of the last couple of years, and we find ourselves without a contact for a good promoter in Ireland.  All the names we've found are the big guys who are booking the arena shows and such... can someone point us to good promoters or booking agents in Ireland, specializing in independent artists?

I'll be in Ireland the second half of July, and would like to set up a few shows.  Ideally a Dublin gig on 24 July, too, as I'll be in Dublin for the weekend.  Please drop us a line at loons@voodooloons.com ASAP if you can help.

Finally, just realized that the copy of "Downhill" that is on the stream on this site is a rather godawful early mix from our Euphobia album sessions.  Would really like to replace that with the album version, if possible.

Peace,
Dennis O'Hagan

Hi Chris Bill and Dennis,
The first name that comes to mind is probably Aoife at Good Seed Records .
     http://www.myspace.com/goodseedrecords

But after listening to your songs for the first time properly I think you should be in a stadium. I always thought that most of the best bands back home were indie out of choice and there's alot of disillusionment with the 'mainstream labels' so most promoters are fighting each other to work for indie bands in Ireland !  Scince Glen Hansard won that best song Oscar they've been buzzing round Eire like dung flies on a cows a***.
Aoife is definately one of the better ones...I'll have to do a bit more checking up on the others I've heard of before I risk touting them.
The unashamedly political song is 'unashamedly good'  - although with regards to the last verse I think they just used  the name of JC as an easy and respectable looking veneer to hide their evil intent behind - once everyones back is turned their off to the dodgy handshake club to plot new ways to rule the world and dream up new ways of  tricking  people into thinking theyre the good guys.In reality the biggots and the condeming bullies are as far removed from JC as s*** is from saturn and they wouldn't know who Jesus was even  if he walked on water, turned it into wine and  kicked them all up the a*** with a mountain! Tongue
Most genuine and real 'best mates with Jesus' christians have no problem being hated because of Jesus, the problem is that nowadays  most of the real christians find themselves being hated because of the bigotry, injustices and lies being done in his name by loudmothed power crazed psychos who would gladly murder him all over again for two pieces of arrogance and a cheesy 'vote for me I'm nicer than god' grins.
Wether Obama will prove to be true or false we are yet to see....it would be nice for the world to see a 'real' christian for  a change.
    Mock turtle soup anyone? Grin
Aside from that the songs are excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Five stars and an optional hot cross bun
