Simple Kid 2, was the last in the series of the new music CD's I got in the last few weeks and you already know how pleased I was with all my other acquisitions.
Simple Kid was yet another brilliant choice, again thanks to the Jukebox here. I must say his music is very unique in its "genre". I could easily put Voodoo Loons, Mellow Drops and many more in the same basket (and those 2 are my top favourites in "new" music), but what Simple Kid does is really HIS OWN stuff, no sounds like. I don't recognise sounds or influences reminding me of other bands, I could compare this with, the way I could more easily for example with the other bands already mentioned.
When you get his album, you get a little piece of paper with it with a password to download 3 further free tracks. One of which being a live version of both "Seretonin" (my favourite song by a long shot) and "lil' King Kong" as well as a very unusual version of Sgt. Peppers (Beatles).
The album also comes with a nice little lyrics booklet.
He's actually working on his 3rd album now, so no gigging in the near future it seems... Did you notice how I am way up on the news and his doings

. I posted a little comment on his MySpace too, which he posted straight away this time

Hey, by the way Mairtin, you don't half recommend us some weird music you do

... sorry.....arghh you can always pop into the chat room on Sunday and slag me off....
Again guys and gals, please vote for a new Jukebox song, else Aidan will chose MY SONG by default !!!! Won't you Aidan ?!
