I just now bought missing link Desert Boots 7" on Discogs. Have had both of their 12" singles and the lone LP for decades. Those songs, the amazing riffs echo through time unmatched for me, and this appears to be their only vestige on the web too.

Tony Lambert didn't play in the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, that was the 70's band. He played in Alex Harvey's band in the 80's, including Alex 's final gig in mainland Europe before he passed away.

The person you are on about is Robbie Hurley, one great gentleman. Didn't have an easy up bringing and ended up very unhappy in the band. Went to Medigorie and he did indeed find a spiritual life.

Brian Lynch played keyboards with them also. Great player and a nice guy. I played bass with them for a few months while they were looking for a bass player – I could not join them as I had a full-time job elsewhere.

Spud regularly played Belfield in the mid-70s. 10 years later Don was with the One-Eyed Rattlers - I often heard them in the Wexford Inn(?) Not many people know that they headlined at Slane Castle in 1988. OK, it was a wedding, but it was a great gig.

Saw them many times in Point Inn Donegal from 73 to 74. I worked, and still do, in Altnagelvin Hodpital. A large contingent of staff made the trip every time they played, great days. Met them when they played the nurses home, Altnagelvin.

Loved this band so much as a kid. They used to spend the summer in a holiday park across the road from where I lived. Used to hang outside on their porch and listen to them jam on acoustic guitars. Cool guys. I was about 10. Wow.

"On the Boards" is just one of the best albums of all time. Right up there with "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. They were better than MOST bands at that time and not just because Rory Gallagher was the frontman. They were ALL fantastic!
