About Gurriers

Gurriers, formed in January 2020 in Dublin, initially included Dan Hoff (lead vocals), Ben O'Neill (guitar/backing vocals), Mark MacCormack (guitar), Pierce O'Callaghan (drums), and Emmet White (bass), who was later replaced by Charlie McCarthy. Despite early setbacks due to the pandemic, the band used the downtime to refine their music and strategy through Zoom meetings. Their resilience paid off, leading to a successful debut gig in October 2021 and growing recognition, including endorsements from Anthony Fantano and support from BBC Radio 6 Music. Gurriers have performed at numerous festivals across Europe and recently withdrew from South by Southwest due to its US Army sponsorship.
