About Slomatics

Slomatics, a heavy underground band from Belfast have developed a distinctive sound over 2 decades. Since forming in 2004, they've released seven albums and numerous splits with bands like Conan and Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard. Their music blends crushing riffs with a futuristic, science-fiction theme, creating a unique, expansive sound.

Between 2012 and 2016, the band, led by drummer/vocalist Marty Harvey and guitarists David Majury and Chris Couzens, explored a narrative trilogy, which they continued to build upon in subsequent releases like Canyons (2019). Their 2022 split LP with Domkraft, Ascend/Descend, further cemented their reputation as heavy, innovative artists.

Slomatics are known for their intense live performances, having played major festivals such as Roadburn and Desertfest. As they work on their eighth album, their music continues to evolve, incorporating psychedelic elements into their epic, heavy sound.
