About St Vitus Dance

St Vitus Dance formed in Belfast in 1981. Singer/bassist Noel Burk had been in a post punk band called Positive action with two other members Peter and Damien. Early on they went through multiple line up changes before selling in the line up that recorded their debut album. Signed independent record deal with Liverpool based Probe Records and released an album called "Love Me Love My Dogma" in 1987. After the release to the album the band moved to Liverpool. They toured Germany in 1988 but the band called it a day later that year. The band reunited in 2005 and since then have gotten back together on occasions over the years. They released new albums Glypotheque in 2008 and Bystanders in 2012.

They reformed in 2005 for a gig at the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival and have since recorded an album which is due for release April 2008. Check out their MySpace page - sounding good after all these years!
