The BibleCode Sundays are a London-based band known for their fusion of Celtic rock, folk, and contemporary rock. Originally formed as Slainte, the band gained recognition in 2006 with the release of BibleCodeSundays, an album of traditional Irish songs. The album's title was inspired by the band's drink-fueled discussions of Bible codes and conspiracy theories after Sunday gigs. In 2007, the band rebranded as The BibleCode Sundays and released their second album, Ghosts of Our Past, followed by Boots or No Boots in 2008.
Throughout their career, the band built a dedicated following, playing at major festivals like Glastonbury and Celtic Park, and supporting acts such as The Dropkick Murphys and Van Morrison. Their music also featured in TV shows like Get Shorty and Unforgettable. In 2017, they released Walk Like Kings, which featured guest appearances from Elvis Costello and Russell Crowe.
Despite a string of successful albums and tours, the band faced significant loss when drummer Carlton Hunt passed away in 2017. In 2019, lead singer Ronan MacManus left the band but returned to the band in 2022.
