About Pet Lamb

Bio from

Pet Lamb are a band from Dublin, Ireland. They formed in 1991. The band signed to Blunt Records, a label owned in part by Andy Cairns of Therapy?, in 1993 and released their first EP, 'Paranoid from the Neck Down'.

After this EP, the band signed to Roadrunner Records, released the 'Black Mask' EP, before their debut album, 'Sweaty Handshake'. Between these records, Blunt released a second EP by the band, 'Spent', which was also included on the Roadrunner Record.

The band recorded a second record for Roadrunner, 'High Anxiety', but were dropped before the album was released. They have since returned to Blunt, and released 'Tenderness'.

The band recorded two sessions for the John Peel programme on BBC Radio 1, on April 1, 1994, and on August 11, 1995.

High Anxiety was also the title of a 'lost' album by Irish rockers and friends of Therapy?, Pet Lamb. Pet Lamb released some great records on the Irish label, Blunt, before signing to Roadrunner records who truly fucked them over. If you get the chance, check 'em out. Singer and guitarist Dylan is currently doing his own thing, watch this space. The choosing of the title 'High Anxiety' was a complete coincidence. I've already talked to Dylan about it and he was completely cool.
