4-piece post-punk band from Limerick

About Slow Riot

Although most often described as post-punk, Slow Riot also draw on shoegaze and noise rock to create their dense sound. The Limerick band started as a 3 piece in 2013 and later added a second guitarist. They signed to London label Straight Lines Are Fine. Between 20015 and 2018 they released 4 singles and an EP entitled Cathedral. In 2018 they had completed recording a debut album, but despite this and their growing reputation the band cancelled a series of gigs in August and announced that were splitting - “Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we have to cancel a run of upcoming gigs. Sincere apologies to all the promoters involved.” Their debut album G.A.D. was released the following year.

Members:

  1. Niall Clancy (vocals/bass)
  2. Aaron Duff (guitars)
  3. Paul Cosgrave (drums)
  4. Liam O’Connor (guitars)
