About Strangers With Guns
Strangers With Guns are an excellent alternative rock band influenced by the likes of the Melvins, Faith No More, Butthole Surfers, Rollins Band etc, but with an original sound of their own. A key element that makes them sound original is the vocals which are often delivered in a laid-back spoken delivery, sometimes close to a rap, in a distinctive Dublin accent and in other places a more shouted, angry, aggressive vocal, also with the Dublin accent coming through. In that regard they have something in common with Fontaines D.C.. A lot of their music is good heavy riffing stuff in the vein of Helmet or Therapy?.They have released multiple singles and the albums, 'Degenerate Art' in 2019, 'Become a Pope' in 2021, and 'All Pleasure Is Just Relief' in 2022. Good stuff, well worth a listen.
