About Dirty Epics

Dirty Epics were a four piece rock pop band from Greystones, Co. Wicklow and later based in Dublin formed in 2006 and active until 2014. Since their launch gig in April 2007 which was touted Gig of the Week in the Irish Times they have been making serious waves on the Irish music scene and have accomplished a great deal including a major live performance at Oxegen.

They released their debut single Demolition Man in April 07 independently on CD and also online and on iTunes.Well received by critics and radio, it was used on RTE as a promo for top TV drama Greys Anatomy and has also been included on the Hughes and Hughes /Hotpress Fly With Me The Best in Irish Music promo CD, one of seven tracks with established artists Phil Lynott, Sinead OConnor and Bell X1.

They gained recognition for songs like "The Cure," "We're Coming Up," and "White Out." Their 2008 debut album, Straight In No Kissing, achieved critical and commercial success, leading to a distribution deal with Universal Music Group.

The band performed at numerous festivals, including Oxegen and Electric Picnic, and appeared on various TV shows. They gained further exposure with a song featured in the British teen drama Skins. Known for their art rock style, Dirty Epics combined elements reminiscent of bands like Joy Division and the Pixies. Their sound was characterized by buzzing guitars, powerful vocals, and a driving rhythm section.
