About AeSect
Formed in the Summer of 2010 by guitarist Dave Kennedy, Smurf on bass and drummer Luke Peters. Aidan O' Halloran joined on guitars at the start of 2011 and vocalist Shane Kiernan joined later in 2011 to complete the line-up. 2013 saw a departure of original bass player Smurf who was replaced by Dan Thompson. Aidan Williams (a.k.a. Willow) later took over on bass and after Tony Carberry left in 2020, took over vocal duties as well.
In 2019 AeSect won the Metal 2 The Masses competition to secure a slot at the Bloodstock Open Air festival.
