About Buí
Buí is a collaborative musical project from Belfast centred around singer-songwriter Josh Healy formed in 2017. Their debut album, Eugene, was released in November 2017, the same night as their first gig.
The music mixes indie, folk, lo-fi, and experimental touches — songs touching on topics like mental health, isolation, and introspection.
In 2022 they released the EP Talking to the Walls, recorded largely to analogue tape and produced by renowned engineer Julie McLarnon. Their 2025 album 24 was written, performed and recorded by Josh Healy (on a Tascam four-track cassette recorder) and released in April 2025.
