About Mako DC

Mako (later Mako DC) is an indie/Alt rock outfit, formed by Declan O'Shea from Cork and Christian Montagne from France after the dissolution of Cyclefly. Mako DC retains the edgy alt-rock sound that gathered so many fans for Cyclefly, yet it has a mellow maturity reflecting pair’s growth as songwriters and as musicians.

For the recording of their debut album, Living On Air, the band returned to Christian's native Antibes on the Côte D'Azur. Living On Air was released in 2011. The new group quickly grabbed the attention of fans and critics alike, even earning recognition from The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences who placed Mako on the Official Ballot for the 2011 Grammy Awards in four separate categories for their debut album

After returning from a successful tour in South America Mako DC set about writing and recording their second studio album Timeless which was released in 2021.
