About mannikin
mannikin are a 4 piece rock/pop/indi/grunge outfit who produce unique catchie melodic and rhythmic tunes and give pulsating live performances. They are an up and coming unsigned Cork band with mainstream appeal but refreshingly unique.From their MySpace page:
mannikin hale from Ireland and the beautiful south west of it at that! all living in West Cork in the general Bantry area and it is here that they do the majority of gigging and are expanding their spellbound audience over a larger area as you read these very letters. The four started playing together in this current line up in August 2006 and clicked together immediately. With their wide range of musical tastes they hope they have blended together to create that sort of music that is sonicly pleasing and ultimately euphonic!
In the run up to Christmas 2006 mannikin finished recording four songs which they are "quite happy" with. (You can have a listen on their MySpace page and let them know what you think, they welcome feedback)
The band are back writing songs again and recording with view to completing a collection of at least 10 great tunes which will hopefully be finished by the summer.
