About Mundy

Mundy (born Edmond Enright, 19 May 1975), from Burr Co. Offaly, is a singer-songwriter and the founder of the independent record label Camcor Records. He rose to prominence with his debut album Jelly Legs (1996), which featured the song "To You I Bestow" on the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack. This song's success led to a large local following, particularly in Ireland.

After being dropped by Epic Records in 2000 while working on his second album, The Moon is a Bullethole, Mundy released a four-track EP with the same title. Much of the material from the cancelled album was later included in his 2002 release 24 Star Hotel, which was self-released through Camcor Records, a label Mundy founded with royalties from the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack. 24 Star Hotel included the hit single "July," which became an Irish summer anthem and contributed to the album's 3× platinum certification in Ireland.

Mundy's third album, Raining Down Arrows (2004), debuted at No. 1 on the Irish Albums Chart and went platinum. He continued to perform internationally, supporting acts like Oasis and The White Stripes. In 2006, he released a live album, Live & Confusion, which featured the hit "Galway Girl," a song he recorded with Sharon Shannon. The track became a major success in Ireland, reaching No. 1 in 2008 and staying there for five weeks.

In 2009, Mundy released Strawberry Blood, which featured contributions from Shane MacGowan and Gemma Hayes. He toured widely, including performances in Ireland, Australia, and the UK.

Mundy's label, Camcor Records, has released several of his albums, including 24 Star Hotel, Raining Down Arrows, and Live & Confusion. The label is named after the Camcor River in Mundy's hometown of Birr, County Offaly..
