About The Prayerboat
Brothers Emmett and Patrick Tinley from Blessington, County Wicklow formed The Prayerboat in 1987. They were signed to RCA in 1989 and released their debut album, 'Oceanic Feeling' in 1991. Although it garnered much critical acclaim it had little commercial success and they were soon dropped from their label. The band struggeled on and followed ith a number of independent releases in the 1990s. In 1998 they recorded and released the album 'Polichinelle' which was highly praised by the music press but again was not a comercial breakthrough. The band eventually called it quits in 2001. Since then Emmett Tinley has launched a solo career and released an album, "Attic Faith" in 2005.Lineup
