About A Cow In The Water
A Cow in the Water - 3 Piece power punk/rock band. A Cow in the Water were part of the post-punk movement in Cork in the late 1980s to early 1990s. They were heavily influenced by punk's irreverence, combining multiple genres from rock to country music, but with a sense of humour.
Reformed in 2016, the Cows began writing and recording new material with an edgier, grittier punk feel, while staying true to the irreverence of the band. Drawing on their vast musical styles and influences, their new material ranges from anti-establishment post punk through to country-Americana. All releases are now available on Spotify, iTunes and other platforms. Although concentrating on completing new studio material, the Cows have returned to live performances and were the support act for the Sultans of Ping at the Cork Opera House in February 2023.
