Skibbereen native Brian Deady started out in the music scene in the mid-naughties. His debut album Interview was released in 2009.
His independently released album Non-Fiction in 2015 was praised for his superb authentic soul voice and honest songs. After scoring a radio hit with the song Clap Both My Hands, the album was picked up for a re-release by Universal/Decca Records. Deady was primed for international success but when it didn't perform as expected, he was unceremoniously dropped from the label.
Deady moved to Spain and started working on his next album Black Diamond, released in 2018. After this he went to Memphis to write and record his next album Yellow Creek. The album was released in 2020.
Deady's sixth studio album Welcome to Big Wow was released in 2024 and has a more electronic-oriented sound.
