About Cane 141
Cane 141's debut album 'Scene From 6a.m.' was recorded in 1997 and released in 1998. The original lineup was Mike Smalle on vocals, guitar and keyboards, Gerard Connolly on vocals and guitars, Shane Burke on bass guitar and Paul Maye on drums. In 2001 they recorded their second album, 'Garden Tiger Moth' - "A more refined pop album with lots of old analogue synths, retro charity shop keyboards, guitars and bits of found sounds". In 2003 Cane 141 were joined by Sandra Friel on Accordion and organ. By 2004 they had slimmed down to a 3 piece - Mike Smalle, Sandra Friel and Colm Hogan. The third Cane 141 album, 'Moon Pool' was released in 2005.
