Three-piece metal band from Co. Kildare formed in 2008
About Dead Label
DEAD LABEL from Celbridge, Co. Kildare, formed as a three-piece metal band in November 2008, following their previous band, VX. They chose their name to reject metal sub-genres and labels, drawing influences from bands like Machine Head, Pantera, Caliban, and Slipknot.
After winning the 'Crypt Trials' metal battle in 2009, they gained recognition and began performing extensively. Their debut EP, recorded in October 2010 and briefly available online, sold out physically. They signed with Rising Records and prepared for their first album, 'Sense of Slaughter', recorded in late 2011 and released in early 2012. They supported Machine Head in Dublin and Belfast during this period.
DEAD LABEL has since toured in Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the US, released their second album 'Throne of Bones' in 2016, and added Mick Hynes as a second guitarist in January 2019.
