About Leanne Harte
Leanne Harte's musical journey got off to an early start - she took up the guitar at just eight, started writing songs at 11, had her first live performance at Vicar Street when she was just 15. By 16, she had recorded her debut EP 'Eradication', secured an endorsement deal for electric guitars and multiple award nominations. She became friendly with Phil Lynott's mother, Philomena, who lived nearby and became her 'number one fan'. Leanne performed at the annual Vibe for Philo on multiple occasions (check out her first Vibe performance in 2003 when she was just 15 in the video below). Leanne's presence expanded with TV appearances, radio airplay, and nationwide tours.
Her first acclaimed releases Eradication and her self-titled LP Leanne Harte, recorded in London with legendary Rock producer Chris Tsangarides (who worked with Thin Lizzy), consisted mostly of hard rocking electric guitar based tracks. An acoustic live album An Irish Girl in Paris followed and her later work tended more towards intimate acoustic material.
Following An Irish Girl in Paris Leanne took some time to embrace other projects and earn a multimedia programming degree. She joined Queen Kong as guitarist and was part of the electro-rock burlesque troupe Midnight Burlectro.
Her 2013 EP, Restless Sleepers, produced by Ray Traynor and Gary Reddy and recorded at Loudroom Studios, is a much more intimate acoustic affair than her early work.
