Travis Oaks are a rock band from Cavan. The group came together as a 3-piece in 2013. That initial line up included Mike Paterson [Vocals & Guitar], Aran McGillick [Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals] and Killian McCourt [Drums]. The band recorded a demo with Jonny Doyle in August of that year. The demo was entered into the 'R U NuMu' nationwide search and in December 2013, Travis Oaks was the final act chosen. This resulted in the trio getting some studio time at NuMu Production's Kildare-based studio. The result of these session was the band's debut EP.
The eponymously-titled 'Travis Oaks' EP was released in October 2014 and featured 'Birdhouse Blues', 'Soul Son' and 'Last Love Song'. In the aftermath of the EP release, the band recruited French guitarist, Taran Plouzane. Since the band's formation they have established themselves as an outstanding live outfit. This has included appearances at the likes of the Knockanstockan and Le Cheile festivals where they have continued to grow their fanbase.
In 2016, the band signed a worldwide publishing deal with Big House Publishing. They released the EP, 'Black Light' in June 2016.
