Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, known professionally as CMAT, is a singer, songwriter, and musician from Dunboyne, Co. Meath. Her debut studio album, 'If My Wife New I'd Be Dead', was released in February 2022 and entered the Irish Albums Chart at number one. The Guardian wrote of her music, "Her songs are mournful yet accessible, emotionally literate and cleverly crafted, but, crucially, with a huge sense of humour...". Her second studio album, 'Crazymad, for Me' was released in October 2023.

Her 2025 single Euro-Country became her first top-10 hit in Ireland. The single in which the opening is sung in Irish, is taken from her third album of the same name, released in August 2025.The album was well received by critics and a September BBC article put it on their top ten albums of 2025 so far.
