About Cursed Sun
Cursed Sun are a long running metal band from Belfast formed in 2007. Their sound blends death, thrash and groove metal with occasional melodic elements.
They’ve released a mix of EPs and a full-length album (Premonitions, 2012), with later releases including The Amygdala (2017) and subsequent singles and the EP Rituals of the Shattered Mind in 2026.
The band has maintained a relatively stable core lineup over the years and remains active in the Belfast live circuit and underground metal community.

- Andy “Jones” Cassidy — vocals
- Jonny McCleery — lead guitar
- Chris McMullan — drums
- Matthew “Monty” Montgomery — rhythm guitar (formerly bass)
- Craig Brown — bass
Former members include Ciaran McKeever — rhythm guitar (long-time member until 2024), Bryn Boothby — original bassist, Paul “Pablo” Houston & Jay Stevenson — former drummers
