About Deserted
Deserted are a death metal band from Cork, Ireland, formed in 2023 and part of the country’s newer underground extreme metal wave. Drawing on old-school brutality fused with modern aggression, the band quickly gained traction in the Irish scene through local shows and a string of early releases.
The group has featured an international lineup, with members from Ireland, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, and France. Their early evolution involved several lineup changes before settling around a core of Tobz Savage (vocals), Mateus Fernandes and Dave Fiero (guitars), Zé Marques (bass), and Paolo Dal Molim (drums).
Deserted released their debut EP Madness of War in January 2024, showcasing their raw, riff-heavy sound and helping establish their presence in Ireland’s underground death metal circuit. They’ve since built a reputation through intense live shows around Cork and beyond, including appearances at heavy underground gigs and collaborative extreme-metal lineups.
