Sean-nós singing set to stark droning instrumentation of Fionn Murray (Drone-nós!)
About Fós
Fós is a musical project of Fionn Murray, who plays guitar in experimental indie band Late Night Pharmacy and is former guitarist for defunct mathcore band Suzaku Avenue. Murray's bleak atmospheric instrumentation is the background for the sean-nós singing of Orla Cadden Patel (later Susan ní Cholmáin). The pair released the EP 'Rinne mé iarraidh' in 2020.
Fós released their debut album 'Níl mo chroí in aon rud' in 2025. On this album the signing was by Susan ní Cholmáin, a traditional singer from Co. Donegal. Murray says of the album "This album represents a significant development from our previous music, with a greater emphasis on riffs and song structure, and heavier, more impactful production."
