About FOS Brothers

Growing up in Belfast in the 70's the FOS Brothers fuse an eclectic mix of Floydie, Genesis, Horslips with trad Irish sensibilities, into something really different.

The force behind the FOS Brothers has always been Dave and Sam McCrory. Brought up in Belfast during the height of the troubles their sensibilities derive from hard schooling on the streets and strict Northern Irish parents.

Dave left Ireland at the age of 19 and Sam came over 4 years later to form the band, they met Rom Dobbs and have collaborated with him for over 25 years.

Rom’s fascination for world music can be attributed to his Dad’s influence as head of the music department at Dartington College, however his first taste of gigging was as a drummer for numerous Punk bands.

Pete Bingham is best known for his band Waulk Elektrik who became very popular on the Roots music circuit in the 90’s.

The band move seamlessly from tear jerking Irish ballads to full on Floydian space rock. The FOS Brothers treat their audience to a shared experience and are equally suited to pin drop silence Arts Centres or packed Festival Marquees.

These guys bring a place to life. Never heard anything like them. Seen them lots of times and whether it was a festival or a small pub gathering, they create an electric atmosphere. Ride on boys.
