Gavin James from Dublin is a singer-songwriter who gained prominence with his debut single "Say Hello" in 2013. Raised in a musical family, he began playing in a rock band at 8 and later focused on solo performances. By 2015, he had signed with Sony and Capitol Records and supported major artists like Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith. His debut album Bitter Pill (2015) was certified Platinum in Ireland and won the Choice Music Prize for Best Single.

James has toured widely, including European and US tours, and received significant media attention, appearing on shows like The Late Late Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has also garnered over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify. His second album, Only Ticket Home (2018), followed by Boxes (2020), both topped the Irish charts. In 2022, he released The Sweetest Part, which also reached #1 in Ireland.
