About Geasa

Geasa were an Irish metal band dabbling in the folk and black metal varieties. Geasa were formed by Fergal Purcell and John Kavanagh (a.k.a. Draighean) in 1993. Geasa's drummer, Simon O’Laoghaire, also played drums with Primordial and Dread Sovereign.

Geasa's first release was a demo called Starside which lead to a record deal. Geasa has released 3 full length albums - Angel's Cry in 1999, Fate's Lost Son in 2003 and Godslaughter in 2005 as well as an EP Murder in 2004. Angel's Cry is considered their best work and one of the best Irish black metal records of the 1990s.
