About Iain Archer

Iain Archer is a singer/songwriter from Bangor, who was once a member of Snow Patrol. Iain comes from a musical background and released two solo albums in the mid 90s on the small Scottish independent label Sticky Music and also self released another album. After a stint with Snow Patrol in 2001 and 2002 and a side project with Snow Patrol's frontman Gary Lightbody in Reindeer Section, he returned to his solo career. In 2004 he released the album Flood The Tanks. His next album Magnetic North was released in 2006 and another album To the Pine Roots came in 2008.

In 2009 Archer joined Tired Pony, a super-group that included Gary Lightbody, Peter Buck of R.E.M. and Richard Colburn of Belle and Sebastian.

Archer has worked with other artists as a producer and songwriter. Artists he has worked with include Jake Bugg, James Bay, Liam Gallagher, Niall Horan, Isaac Gracie and Lisa Hannigan.
