In Case of Fire is an alternative rock band from Portadown formed in 2005. After disbanding in October 2012, they reunited in March 2016. The original lineup included lead vocalist/guitarist Steven Robinson, bassist Mark Williamson, and drummer Colin Robinson. Their music blends alternative rock with progressive and hardcore influences, drawing comparisons to bands like Muse and Queens of the Stone Age.
The band gained early recognition by winning the MTV2 'Spanking New' competition in 2008, and they opened for notable acts such as Bring Me the Horizon and Bullet for My Valentine. Their debut album, Align the Planets, released in May 2009, received critical acclaim, leading to a Kerrang! Award for "Best British Newcomer."
After struggling to record a second album, they disbanded in 2012, with Robinson expressing gratitude for their journey. In 2016, they announced their reunion, with new member Adam Booth replacing Williamson. They began performing and releasing new music, including demos in 2020-2021.
In March 2024, they announced the release of their first single in over a decade, "Prisoner," and they made a return to the stage with a live show in Belfast on 27th June 2024.
