About Inch High

Since their formation in 2002, the four-piece hard rockin Inch High from Newcastle, Co. Down and Belfast have released 3 critically acclaimed 7 track demo's. In July 2005 the band released their Neal Calderwood produced debut album "Look kids, its Big Ben" on their own Thumb recordings label. The album has received glowing reviews with hard rock/metal bible Kerrang! magazine awarding it a remarkable 4 out of 5 K's and gushing ,"Inch High are a revelation...wonderfully direct, soaring rock songs which nod towards the songwritng of Therapy? and Husker Du at their most succint..."

They self released another album "The Engine Sounds" in 2009. Following this they supported many well known rock groups including Tygers Of Pan Tang, Y & T, The Quireboys, Black Stone Cherry and The Answer.

The band was put on hold in 2011 due to work and family commitments. In 2019 they started to rehearse again and brought in a new drummer Stevie Glacken. In 2021 they announced that they would be playing their first gig in 10 years supporting Chicago rockers Enuff Z'Nuff in Voodoo Belfast in November that year but the gig ended up getting postponed. Inch High finally did their return to the stage in September 2023 performing alongside The Answer at a local festival gig. That year they also were back in the studio working on new material.
