About Jemson Green

Initially conceived in 2005, Jemson Green entered the Irish music scene in November 2008 with a high profile support to Serj Tankian (System of a Down) in the Ambassador Theatre, Dublin. Ronan Power (Vocals), Bambi Morrissey (Bass) and Shaun Costello (Drums) formed the first line up. In 2009 when the trio found guitarist Shane Mason and guitarist Conor Dempsey (who had been attending the BCFE Rock School) in 2012, the final line up appeared.

Their debut single ‘Growing Stranger’ “is as compelling and irresistible a rocker you’ll hear all year” – Hotpress January 2012

Jemson Green also found a new audience from Ronan and Shanes A/V segment for Michael Winslow’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival show (Police Academy, Spaceballs, Gremlins), which he performed live in unison with at his Fringe run.

In February 2013, Jemson Green were named as Artist of the Month by www.musicreviewunsigned.com, including a full feature interview and front cover of MRU Magazine. In the same month they performed in Dublin’s Vicar Street alongside Bipolar Empire, Keywest, Paddy Casey, Walking on Cars and The Enemies in aid of Comic Relief.

In 2013 they took in two UK performances in London’s Claddagh Ring as well as live performances including support for a sold-out Kerbdog show in Galway’s Roisín Dubh and the MRU Live Launch Party on May 9th. As well as a support performance for The Riptide Movement and an acoustic appearance at the Le Cheile Music Festival in August.

Jemson Green remained active as a band until around 2015.
