Three piece Dublin band and winners of the 2005 International Battle of the Bands (judged by Steve Lilywhite producer of U2 fame etc).
Kopek was a hard rockin three piece Dublin band, featuring Daniel Jordan (guitar, vocals), Brad Kinsella (bass, vocals), and Eoin Ryan (drums).
Original drummer Shane Cooney and bassist Brad Kinsella grew up as neighbors in Dublin, bonding over their love for classic and modern rock. They found their first singer, Daniel Jordan from Ashbourne, through a local musician's magazine ad, and formed the band initially named Bloom, later changing it to Kopek. The trio played numerous gigs around Dublin, frequently winning battle of the bands competitions. From 2002 to 2009, Kopek toured extensively, capturing attention worldwide. In 2005, they won the Best Live Act at the Global Battle of the Bands, earning $100,000 and a world tour. Their single "Cocaine Chest Pains" reached number 25 on the American active rock charts and hit the top ten in Canada.
Kopek released their debut album, White Collar Lies, on iTunes in June 2010, with a physical release following in January 2011. The album received acclaim, described as "genius" and a remarkable debut. The single "Love is Dead" was featured in Saw 3D. Kopek toured the U.S. for six months in support of the album and signed a European record deal in 2012, promoting White Collar Lies with "Love is Dead" as the lead single. Kopek folded in 2014.
In October 2019, Jordan and Ryan announced the formation of their new band, Mooncroozer. They released their first single, "Until The Lights," in November 2019, followed by "No Sign of Life" in December.
