Pat McManus is a talented rock guitarist who along with his 2 brothers, John and Tommy, formed the hard rock band, Mama's Boys, which was internationally successful in the 1980's. Pat and the brothers were award-winning traditional Irish musicians before getting into hard rock and Pat sometimes incorporates some fiddle playing into his rock music. Along with John he formed the new age celtic inspired group Celtus in the 1990's a couple of years after Tommy passed away.
After Celtus decided to call it a day in 2001, Pat who had been living in London at the time, moved back to the shores of Lough Erne. Back at home, Pat began work as a session man and music teacher. He joined up with a local band "The Painkillers" and began touring as “Pat McManus and The Painkillers”. In 2003 Pat was doing some studio work with Sligo band “Indian” at Mid Atlantic studios in Enniskillen. Pat ended up joining Indian while also continuing with The Painkillers.
In 2005 Pat formed a new band “Pat McManus and Hi-Voltage” and toured extensively throughout Ireland for the next couple of years.
In 2007 Pat recorded his first solo album “In My Own Time” and followed up with a series of European gigs. Around this time, with a new rhythm section, the band evolved into "The Pat McManus Band".
The Pat McManus Band has released a number of albums - 2PM (2011), Walking Through Shadows (2011), Dark Emerald Highway (2013), Blues Train To Irish Town (2015), Tattooed In Blue (2018) and Full Service Resumed (2020).
