About Silverbacks
Irish indie/post-punk group five-piece Silverbacks combine wiry, interlocking guitar work with acerbic opinions on popular culture. Originally formed by brothers Daniel (guitar, vocals) and Kilian O'Kelly (guitar, vocals), they quickly blossomed to incorporate five members, including Peader Kearney (guitar), Emma Hanlon (bass, vocals), and Gary Wickham (drums). Hailing from Dublin, they benefited from the musical community of the city, enlisting Girl Band's Daniel Fox to producer their initial output, including their debut singles, "Dunkirk" and "Just in the Band," in 2018. Fox stayed on as a producer for their debut album, 2020's Fad. Silverbacks released their second album Easy Being A Winner in 2024.
