Tadhg Cooke, known by his stage name "Tiger Cooke," is an Irish musician whose career spans multiple decades. Born in Dublin and raised in Dunboyne, County Meath, Cooke began writing his own music during his school years, showing an early musical promise. After earning a degree in Computational Linguistics from Dublin City University in 2002, he decided to follow his passion for music, quickly gaining attention with his debut EP The Sparks, which was A-listed on Phantom FM.
Tiger Cooke has established himself within the Irish music scene, supporting artists like Damien Dempsey, Damien Rice, and Bell X1. His single Know You Hate Me reached number 88 on the Irish airplay charts, and his TV appearances on RTÉ further boosted his profile. He performed at the renowned Electric Picnic in 2006 and worked on Wax and Seal, his well-received debut album released in 2005.
In 2010, Cooke, working with bassist David Redmond and drummer Kevin Brady, released Fingertips of the Silversmith, an album blending Americana-tinged folk-rock with his poetic lyrics.
