Their influences include The Small Faces, The Smiths, The Beatles, The Stone Roses, Kings of Leon, The La's, The Libertines and naturally Bob Dylan. The calibre of venues they have played such as The Spirit Store, Temple Bar Music Centre, The Sugar Club and Eamonn Dorans, and gigs supporting high profile acts such as the Blizzards, the Revs and Paddy Casey under their belt, hold testament to the bands drive and capability. With a large following locally and increasingly national, The Dolldrums are an ambitious bunch with a unique live sound.
The band are also heavily involved in the promotion of new Irish music with Clarkie running 'The Backroom Session', formally known as 'The Vigilante sessions' which plays host to many new emerging acts.
