About The Lookalikes

Founding members Paul Bell and Mike Mesbur had left Eric Bell's band. Sean O'Connor joined in 1980 and took the band in a more commercial power-pop direction. They supported Thin Lizzy on tours in 1980 and again in 1982. They released some singles on the Riva label in 1980 and an album 'Dayderaming at Night' in 1981 on WEA. After the band split, Sean O'Connor released some singles as Sean O'Connor and The Lookalikes.

Is this Sean Connors the same as I saw tonight in Rhode Island USA? His dad is John condors with an American band named The Irish Express. This Sean is a kick-ass fiddle player.

Singer, guitarist and songwriter Sean O'Connor was one of the founding members of The Lookalikes, undoubtedly the most popular Irish band playing around Dublin and the rest of Ireland during the early eighties.
