About The Threat
The Threat were a Dublin punk band formed by Maurice Foley and a couple of others in 1978, but Foley would be the only continuous member. John Stanley, a.k.a.
Stano joined the band adding synth sounds. They played with
U2 at the Dandelion Market in 1979. They put out a single 'High Cost of Living' in 1982, produced by
Donal Lunny. They recorded 5 or 6 tracks of new material in 1981 but the band dissolved before it saw the light of day.
