About The Would Be's

Formed in 1989 formed by brothers Eamonn and Paul Finnegan. Championed by John Peel, the band enjoyed success in the early nineties with songs such as I’m Hardly Ever Wrong, toured with Morrissey, and were NME's Single of the Week on several occasions.

Sadly, without the proper backing, they never capitalised upon their potential and split shortly after in 1991. However, 2012 saw The Would Be’s reform and subsequently release ‘Beautiful Mess’ on respected Cork label, FIFA Records, to largely positive reviews.

Members:

Julie McDonnell, Aidine O'Reilly, Matt, Eamonn and Paul Finnegan
